Tom Geddes

Head of Capital Formation

Tom Geddes is Head of Capital Formation at Capital Funding Group, Inc. (CFG), a leader in the healthcare and multifamily financing industry. Tom’s role focuses on the private credit and private equity side of the business, working in particular with family office investors. 

Prior to CFG, Tom spent six years as a Partner at Brown Advisory, running the firm’s global family office practice, and he previously founded and served for a decade as CEO of Sagamore Ventures, the family office of the founder and chairman of Under Armour. 

Tom is active in community and philanthropic affairs, serving on the national advisory council and executive committee for President Obama’s My Brother’s Keeper Alliance, as chair of Archbishop Lori’s Partners in Excellence program, and on the advisory board of Opera Baltimore. He has previously served on boards including MedStar Harbor Hospital and the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. In addition, Tom serves as a private sector liaison to the Executive Office of the Secretary General of the United Nations.
